Principal Leadership

Cida Goldbach
Principal
Ms. Maria A.S. (Cida) Goldbach currently serves as a Principal of Solutions By Design II, LLC responsible for overall company management as well as the specific functions of the CFO. Ms. Goldbach was part of the management team that acquired the Federal and commercial contracts business unit from IT Factory in December 2001, forming the current company Solutions By Design II, LLC. Ms. Goldbach began her professional career in 1976 as a Sales Support Specialist in Brazil, working her way to becoming a cash management expert. She relocated to the U.S. in 1989. In 1992 she began employment with Solution By Design, Inc. She was responsible for the management and execution of the full life-cycle accounting process including human resources for the company.

Clyde W. Goldbach, Jr
Principal
Mr. Clyde W. Goldbach, Jr. currently serves as a Principal of Solutions By Design II, LLC. He is responsible for service delivery for the federal contracting practice. Mr. Goldbach graduated Cum Laude from Westminster College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1981. Mr. Goldbach’s career began at PPG Industries in Pittsburgh, PA where he performed accounting, application programming, and analytical assignments. Mr. Goldbach also worked 13 years for Price Waterhouse in their Management Consulting Services division. During that time, he spent 3 years in their Brazilian practice in Sao Paulo, Brazil and one year on a sabbatical as a special assistant to the Post Master General of the United States Postal Service (USPS) under the President’s Commission for Executive Exchange.

Curt Hall
Vice President, Corporate Growth & Strategy
Mr. Curt Hall has a diverse career supporting Operations, Marketing, Capture and Proposal Management and Business Development. He previously served as the Vice President of the Federal Practice for Smart Data Solutions, as Vice President of Operations for Kiowa Technology, and as the Director of Business Development for DMG Federal. With a history of delivering tangible value and growing new business, experience in private, public and not-for-profit sectors, he works closely with the leadership team to brand the company and to identify and win new business. Mr. Hall is an Executive Leader credited with growing corporate profits, increasing employee utilization, and structuring and delivering strategic and tactical growth. He is highly experienced in managing change as visionary and revenue leader in the highly competitive Federal market. Creating employee and industry awareness to build strategies that preserve market share and satisfy customer needs.

Mike Ewell
Vice President, Client & Strategic Growth
Mr. Mike Ewell is the Vice President, Client & Strategic Growth, and the lead for SBD's Cyber business. He has over 14 years experience providing cyber security, IT services and project management on federal and commercial projects. Mr. Ewell has spent the last 3 years at SBD managing and growing SBD’s portfolio of cyber engagements across DHS and DoD. Mr. Ewell’s experience includes seven+ years at two of the Big Four consultancies improving the cyber security posture and implementing compliance programs for both private and public sector clients domestically and internationally. His experience in cyber security includes IT Security Control Assessments/Audits, Continuous Monitoring (CDM), Critical Infrastructure, Audit Mitigation and Remediation efforts, Documentation and Policy reviews and Security Operations Centers (SOC). Mr. Ewell’s experience has included the writing and the review of large government agencies high profile IT security policies and procedures, including authoring the FY13, FY14, and FY15 CIO and IG FISMA Metrics, DoD SSAE16 Reports and the annual FISMA Congressional Report. Along with Mr. Ewell’s extensive security background (CISSP), he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Six Sigma Greenbelt and an ITIL Expert.

Rod Volz
Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategic Management
Mr. Rod Volz leads SBD's efforts to plan for and successfully prepare SBD for transition into the Mid-tier market space. In this capacity Mr. Volz provides leadership and strategic direction to maximize the value of the business. This includes capability development and identifying opportunities that leverage the value of the company’s business platform. It also includes evaluating the maturity of SBD's operations, benchmarking the firm against other successful companies, looking farther out in terms of the federal marketplace growth segments and opportunities, and supporting company leadership to achieve its growth goals and objectives. In this capacity he is also responsible for coordinating the undertakings of the Solution and Innovation Center (SIC) and providing support, as needed, to the PMO function.

Brooke Steinecker
Vice President, Finance, Accounting & Administration
Ms. Brooke Steinecker is the Vice President, Finance, Accounting & Administration at SBD. She is responsible for the finance, accounting, and payroll functions as well as the overall administration of SBD’s facilities and operations. Ms. Steinecker graduated in 2008 from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a Concentration in International Relations. She served as an intern in the House of Representative under Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper, the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 3rd District, from September through December of 2009. Ms. Steinecker began her career in February 2011 as an Executive Assistance at SBD and has rapidly ascended to her current VP role.

Aimée Tucker
Vice President, Human Capital
Ms. Aimée Tucker, Vice President, Human Capital, at SBD, brings over 11 years of progressive experience in human resource management to the team. As the HR subject matter expert, Ms. Tucker's expertise is in both operational and strategic HR practices. Overseeing all aspects of human resource management, she establishes and develops programs and infrastructure that effectively support strategic business objectives and growth. Her professional experience includes, but is not limited to, planning, developing, and directing of HR functions; strategic program management, facilitating compensation analysis, organizational development, performance management, talent engagement strategy, total rewards, employee safety & health, employee & labor relations, recruitment, compliance, and workforce management.

Patrick Norman
General Counsel
Mr. Patrick Norman serves as SBD’s General Counsel with responsibility for governance, compliance, risk management, and litigation portfolios. He leverages what peers describe as strong legal and business acumen, with the counsel of prominent outside law firms, to help the company position itself fairly and securely. Mr. Norman served the public as a trial attorney for ten years where he litigated to verdict or administrative decision over one hundred cases including four jury trials. He has also served in academic, business, and technology roles, for example, having taught Statistics as a graduate fellow at Illinois State University, helped to launch start up technology companies, and been named in two commercial software patent applications. Mr. Norman earned his Juris Doctor Degree from The College of William & Mary where he was named an Atkinson Scholar. He earned a Master of Science Degree in Applied Statistics, and a Bachelor of Science Degree with a dual major in Economics and Psychology, from Illinois State University, where he was named an Illinois State Foundation Scholar. He is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
