The Nature Generation's (NatGen) Mission, "seeks to inspire and empower youth to make a difference environmentally by enriching their experience with nature and outdoor projects. As they become adults they will think and care about the footprint they, their family, and business make."
Through Teach Green, Read Green and many more programs, the Nature Generation educates our children and encourages them to look at expanding their studies into the fields of sustainability, environmental science, alternative energy, and green technology.
For the fourth year in a row, SBD sponsored and participated in one of their keystone fundraising events in the Washington, DC area. The 14th Annual Eco-Golf Tournament, benefiting the Nature Generation, raises awareness and funds for innovative environmental stewardship programs in literature, science, and the arts for our nation's youth.
This year's event raised money to help carry out their mission and launch a new program called the "Seed Grant Program" which will get kids out in the field, in action, learning about the environment and their role in protecting the planet.
